大家也许看到过这样一个故事：一位记者采访云南的一个村庄时一天早上他用一杯水刷牙，村里很多孩子都很吃惊地看着他，他很是不解。事后才知道，那一杯水是一个人一天的饮用水。“水贵如油”这四个字是个比喻，但在世界上很多地方，却成了无可辩驳的现实。

为了唤起公众的节水意识，建立一种更为全面的水资源可持续利用的体质和相应的运行机制。1993年1月18日，第47届联合国大会将每年的3月22日定为“世界水日”。以推动水资源的综合性统筹和管理，加强水资源保护，解决日益严峻的缺水问题。同时，通过开展广泛的宣传教育活动，增强公众开发和保护水资源的意识。

我国有300个城市缺水，近50个城市严重缺水，18个沿海城市中14个城市缺水。我国也正面临着一场严重的水危机。请听下面这些数字：1988年夏天，武汉市居民强行开启50个消防栓取水使用。1989年，曾有“八水绕长安”之誉的西安市，断水面积达27平方公里，根据相关部门的报告，水资源相对丰富的云南省昆明市地下水水位正在以年均水位降幅0.1米—0.3米的速度下降。生活在大都市的我们却丝毫没有感应到问题的严峻，在校园里，同学们用水时，水龙头开得很大。涂肥皂时，水也哗哗地流淌着；水凉了就倒掉……这些现象什么时候才能消失呢？难道要等到水资源缺乏、枯竭的时候才回过头来谈节约吗？

一个人的行动、声音微不足道，只有当你我的力量交汇在一起，你我的声音交融在一起，产生的改变才是巨大的。节约用水是一种美德，一种智慧，一种品质，更是一种责任。现在有一则非常流行的广告语：如果人类不珍惜水，地球上最后一滴水就是人类的眼泪。让我们积极行动起来吧！人人争做“环保小能手”，班班争创“节约集体”，让节约用水成为我们校园的新时尚。

All of you have perhaps read such a story: A reporter had an interview with a village in Yunnan. In the morning, he used a cup of water to brush his teeth. After he came back home, he suddenly realized that a cup of water would be enough for one person’s daily drink. Nowadays, more and more areas are becoming deficient in water.

To arouse water saving consciousness of the public and establish a kind of operation mechanism for sustainable use of water resources, on January the eighteenth nineteen ninety-three, on the forty-seventh United Nations General Assembly the whole day of March the twenty-second is called “World Water Day”. This day is to remind people of saving water.

Three hundred cities in China don’t have enough water, among which fifty-five cities have serious water shortage. China is now facing a serious water crisis. For instance: In the summer of nineteen eighty- eight, the citizens of Wuhan drank water through fifty fire plugs. There are so many examples like this. We don’t know how serious the problem is. If we keep doing so, when can the problem be solved?

Therefore, from now on, let’s save the water as much as we can. Saving water is a virtue, an intelligence and a responsibility. Let’s take attention right now. Let saving water be the school’s new fashion!
