尊敬的各位老师，各位同学：

上午好！今日，我们有幸迎来了第70届国际大学生节暨世界学生日。在战火初熄的1946年，世界各国学生代表齐聚布拉格召开了全世界学生大会，宣布将每年的11月17日定为世界大学生节，以加强全世界大学生的团结和友谊。该节目设立的初衷是为在大学生中倡导和平，民主，自由和进步的新思想，同时纪念二战中的大学生反法西斯运动。

时光如白驹过隙，那个曾经动荡不安的时代早已离我们远去，但当今世界依旧纷扰，地区冲突与局部战争此起彼伏。不过，不容置辩的是，和平与发展是当今世界的两大主题，在和平中求发展，在发展中促和平，这是人类社会走向美好未来的重要保证。

经济的发展是维护世界和平的有力保障。只有在和平的国际环境中，世界各国才能保持正常的经济交往和顺利实现本国的发展计划，战乱和冲突则是经济发展的重大障碍甚至造成严重的经济损失。曾饱尝战乱之苦的各国人民渴望和平，反对战争；核战争的毁灭性后果，使某些核大国不得不考虑自身的安全而不敢贸然发动战争。国际上各种力量的相互制约，有利于维护世界的和平与稳定。

纵观世界目前的发展态势，一方面，和平是主流，另一方面，世界的和平局面又是不稳定和不安全的。威胁世界和平的隐患仍然存在。我国现在就面临着许多反动势力。他们为了他们自私的想法，不断的妖言惑众，蛊惑着人民群众的思想，挑拨离间，危害着世界的和平。因此，维护和平依旧任重而道远。

我们中学生，是最具朝气与创造力的群体，是拥有责任心与拼搏精神的群体。我们牢记历史使命，我们年轻充满梦想。我们是祖国未来的中流砥柱，是民族的希望。我们应当努力充实自己，在纷乱且复杂的世事中保持一份理智，以史为鉴，明辨是非，明晰所担负的历史使命，努力捍卫世界的和平，实现中华民族的伟大复兴。我们的梦想不应仅仅是追逐闪亮的青春，我们的梦想在于向世界展示我们的风采，我们的实力。

我们坚定地相信，在伟大中国共产党的领导下，经过全国各族人民的努力，经过世界各族人民的努力，和平将永驻人间。

Dearest schoolmates and teachers：

With us embracing the bise of early winter, comes the 70th international university student’s day. In 1946, as the dedication to the examination of fascist, the student delegates worldwide held the international student conference in Prague, declaring every November 17th to be the annual LUSD to enhance the unity and fraternity of universal undergraduates. It was set up for accusing the bloody crime, commemorating the anti-fascist movement as well as advocating the pursuing of peace, democracy, freedom and progress.

As time goes by, after waving goodbye to the era of instability, the world is still filling with conflicts and regional wars. Undeniably, with the development of general society, the proposal of peace has been drawn to attention. “Peace & Development” no doubt has become the essential topic globally.

The economic actions and plans are only accessible in a peace and steady environment. Wars and conflicts as the biggest obstacle towards development has caused severe casualties economically which is the opposite of worthy while the development of economic ensuring peace worldwide.

People who have fed up with chaotic wars crave peace. The catastrophic outcomes remind us the merit of peace. The arm-wresting between nations somehow maintain the left peace.

We students as the future elements of development, as the group of great youth and spirit, as the young adults of 21st century, it’s our responsibility to clear our minds, reflect on history and guard peace one way or another. I believe as the initiative purpose of this day. With the efforts of all human race, we can manage to hold on to remain peace for eternity.
