汉字——华夏文明永远的标志

汉字是世界上最古老的文字之一，它证明着中国古代辉煌的文明，承载着五千年来所有人民的思想与抱负。

汉字的起源史十分漫长。初期成熟的汉字是商朝甲骨文，再到金文。战国后期，秦始皇统一文字，以大篆为基础创造出小篆。后再发展至汉朝，形成汉字。汉子形象生动，字体更是各有所长，篆书隶书，古色古香，行书流畅，正楷端庄，狂草更是凤舞龙翔，极为奔放。我国历史上产生了一代又一代书法名家。古有王羲之，今有齐白石，流传下来的不仅是艺术作品，还有中华民族对汉字的深情厚爱。

这充满魅力的文字，也是灵魂的纽带。对于异国他乡的游子们，汉字便成了一种寄托。哪怕是一张字条，一块牌匾，都能感受到祖国的亲切。这一撇一捺间，凝铸着国人的情思。每年的12月12日，是日本创立的“日本汉字日”。经调查，超过七成的日本人对汉字十分推崇，认为其不可或缺。

然而，作为汉字的发明者，我们随着科技的进步发展，对自己源远流长的汉字文化的意识却越来越淡薄。错别字、病句屡见不鲜。学生们提笔忘字，社会上也有汉字复繁或“进一步简化”的现象，这些做法都会极大程度的影响汉字的传承。

我们不能再让汉字危机继续下去了。而补救方法十分简单，闲暇放下手中的手机，阅读一本书或几篇文章，遇到生僻字就动手查一查，多看几遍记住它。甚至听听广播，看看报纸，拿起字典随手翻上一翻，都是有益处的。

一个拥有并努力发扬自己语言文化的民族才是真正有灵魂的民族，让我们加以重视，将我们的瑰宝——汉字，视为荣耀，让它世代传承。

Chinese Characters — Symbol of Chinese civilization

Chinese characters are one of the world’s oldest writing characters. From the oldest oracle bone scripts to Jin scripts, then to all kinds of modern scripts, Chinese characters evolved constantly and matured gradually for thousands of years. Chinese characters proved brilliant civilization of ancient China, carrying five thousand ideas and aspirations of Chinese.

Chinese characters are beautiful, vivid, full of charm, and also the soul ties. They remind you that you are Chinese and you should be proud of your own language whenever you use them in your life.

However, in modern society it seems like that, Chinese is not as important as it suppose to be as a mother tongue which people are proud of. People sometimes make it complicated and sometimes make it further simplified, even invest a lot of new words in internet (like people often use internet words “no zuo no die”) which are more and more popular in the daily life, but it will greatly affect the characters heritage, purity and dignity. With the use of computer, many people can type the Chinese words on it, but can’t hand-write words properly. Isn’t it a shame?

We cannot let the Chinese character crisis continue anymore. Please use Chinese characters in a right way, right pronunciation, right writing.

A nation which owns and makes a great effort to develop their own linguistic culture is really a nation which has a soul. Moreover, we should attach more and more importance to our own language and inherit it a generation and another. To engrave Chinese characters on people’s mind, for which the first was made.
